 | Take Action We hope something on this website inspires you to want to make a difference. The first thing to do if you are not a member is to join! The next thing could be to tell others about those key health issues that concern you. We hope the issues on this website along with the information on this page should help you to do something, anything that will make a difference. I am only one, But still I am one. I cannot do everything, But I can do something; And because I cannot do everything I will not refuse to do the something that I can do. Edward Everett

Writing to the Press
A small advertisement in a daily newspaper reaches thousands but at a cost. Having a letter printed in the same newspaper reaches that same audience at no cost.
However, you will be competing with hundreds or thousands of others for those few lines, so you need to make the most of it.
This sheet offers some advice to help you make it into print, and contact details of the more popular newspapers. It can also be downloaded as a PDF file.

How to write to your MP
If you feel strongly about any of the issues featured on the Medact website we encourage you to write to your MP.
Remember not to be afraid of contacting your local MP: they get many letters and often use them to gauge public opinion on current topics.
Please do mention you are a Medact member when writing. We would also be grateful if you could send us both a copy of your letter and any reply received. This information is available to download as a PDF file.
